Academic Type is a Dorset-based business which is owned and run by Frances Free. We specialise in typing, transcription and administration services to UK universities. We assist academics, researchers, students and authors.

Academic Type is fast, effective and efficient. We can turn work around quickly; if there is a special deadline, we will work evenings and weekends to assist. In some circumstances we can work on-site with a university department for short periods of time. However, most of our work is carried out remotely.
